Julliard is the most famed school for dance majors, and they do offer housing. Yale, Stanford, BU, and NYU all have strong dance programs. FSU also has an incredibly renowned dance school, and they’re far easier to get into and much, much more affordable than the other schools. http://www.juilliard.edu/http://dance.fsu.edu/

Without knowing your level of talent, your SATs, your GPA, and etc., it’s impossible to tell which schools you should target. But some of the best dance schools in the US include: Juilliard, NYU, Marymount Manhattan, Point Park University, Arizona State U, SUNY Purchase, Temple U, Florida State, Southern Methodist U, U Utah, U Arizona, U Michigan Ann Arbor, Indiana U, Butler U, and Ohio State. Fordham has an interesting program with Alvin Ailey, if you can get into Alvin Ailey as a dancer.
You should get your hands on Dance Magazine’s College Guide. They list all the college dance programs in the US, tell something about them, and even list which ones offer dance scholarships, and for how much. It’s a really great guide. You *really* need to get your hands on a copy. I think you can order it off the Dance Magazine website.
