I am a senior in high school and am seriously considering being a lawyer. My question is, what courses should I take in college if I want to be an attorney?

From what I have heard from others, there are no actual “pre-law” classes. There are some things they recommend, but they’re not mandatory. Maybe some sociology, writing, English, philosophy. You may want to do Interdisciplinary Studies…(a program that allows you to take a mix of various subjects).
English is a popular major for pre-law. The writing and analysis involved is appealing to law schools. But Interdisciplinary Studies would give you more variety (and could include plenty of English, writing, analysis, critical thinking….anyway)
I’ve heard that people tend to falsely think that Political Science is a good pre-law major. It’s really not.
Also consider what kind of law you want to do. If you’re going to do corporate law, take some business classes. If you’re going to do family law, consider family studies / human studies.
