My family is already planning on moving out to California, regardless of where I go to college. I want to go to Berkeley, but I understand that only like 9% of first-year students are from out of state. Will I be counted as a resident of California, if the rest of my family has a residence there when I apply?
Has any heard about this family product: How To Make Candles – Step-by-Step Instructions? I actually have used it and found it to be excellent.
I recently had asked a question and it I mentioned I was pregnant and planning on attending college. ( I am 18.) A lot of people mentioned family housing on campus but I have never heard of it and I am curious to what it is and what I have to do to be able to move into it? Also if it would be cheaper to just get my own place?
I don’t exactly know what I want to major in but I really am worried about college. Okay, this might be long but bear with me please! I don’t necessarily get the whole entire college process. I want to know as much as possible so I can get into a good college. I probably need a scholarship because my family can’t really afford to pay. Please answer my question. I need as man as possible.
I have researched regulations, but nothing is mentioned about education requirements. I have much experience, a H.S. diploma and some college classes, but did not complete a degree.
Woman in college, different majors, tuition. Also, what motivates people to attend college, past and present?
I’m sure there are financial questions, quality of life questions, program questions. Basically if you’ve done this before, you probably have a good set of questions you would ask college representatives while you are selecting prospective schools to attend.
I have an interview for a huge college scholarship from a small private college this weekend. Is there anyway to prepare, or can anyone give me tips who have done this sort of thing before? I’ll be competing against other students for it, so I have to do a good job!
I am looking to apply to very selective colleges and I want to know how much Ap scores matter. How much do they matter in terms of Credit in college as well as looking good on your college ap. Do colleges even look at your ap scores when judging you?
I am currently a college junior and will be having my first baby in late august. I was just wondering from other student-mothers how many credit hours you would recommend that I take during the fall semester. I am planning on doing mostly online courses, and I will not be working more than 15 hours/week if at all. I am currently majoring in family dynamics and human development, and in the past I have found myself able to manage around 14-16 credits comfortably.
The reason I ask is because something like 90% of college graduates eventually end up working in a career completely unrelated to what they majored in.
Why do people end up doing that? You would think that picking your major involves picking something that you’d love to do later on, and/or at least something that would be dependable. My majors were in Finance and Management (currently wrapping it up) and my career is currently in banking, and I’m very happy with both, so I’m kind of bucking the trend here.
Is there anyone else who is in the same situation, or anyone here who is working in a field completely different from what their majors were. Thanks everybody.
