After getting out of the military now we’re faced with starting up college. What now? Graduated from high school, never took the SATs, went straight into the Army. Have work experience that supposedly is going to count as college credits since they were in all the same field as my intended major.
Question is, can I take the SATs now or is that impossible?
Must I go to a community college first in order to get into a regular 4 year school?

a couple of months before getting out, go to the education center on your post/base, and pick the education counselor’s mind, take the required tests, get instructions on how to get the required grants and loans, and have them help you with writing letters to the different educational institutions. Be sure you always keep diplomas, transcripts, certificates, letters of achievement, letters of recommendations, the verbal certificates that come with the medals.
Yes you can and should take the SAT and/or ACT. You may have to start at a community college but it really depends on the school you apply to. Some universities may look at the gap in time between high school and now and not accept your application. Others may accept you. I’m pretty sure you can mention on your application that you were in the military and it could help your application.
